Angela Evelyn Bassett was born in the United States. In the TV and film business, she is famous for her numerous nominations and awards. Bassett was raised by her aunt in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Born and grew up in New York New York. Bassett, her sister and their mother relocated from the city of Winston-Salem to St. Petersburg Florida when Bassett was 5 years old. The father of the family had divorced their mother. In high school, Bassett saw John Steinbeck's play Of Mice and Men starring James Earl Jones and decided she wanted to pursue a career as an actor. Following her graduation at Yale University New Haven Connecticut in the year 1980, she earned an undergraduate degree with a major in African American Studies, she went on to earn the Master's degree (1983) at the Yale School of Drama. While at Yale she met Courtney B. Vance a fellow actor and the two were married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. Degree in African-American Studies in 1980. Masters in Fine Arts degree from the Yale School of Drama School: Jordan Park Elementary School Disston Middle School (seventh grade) Azalea Middle School (eighth and ninth grades) Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett has been cast in one the leading roles of Ramonda for the action film, i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).
